The Leaf Munnar Resort

We stayed in rooms with private swimming pools, and both the rooms and views were superb. The views from the rooms are breathtaking, and the well kept property is thoughtfully designed, with lots of beautiful photo spots. Hospitality was outstanding, and the warm, welcoming staff made the stay even more special. Food was quite good, about 4/5. An incredible, memorable experience, highly recommended.

A lovely resort for a family holiday, with spacious rooms and good service. The lighting and swimming pool were very good. At evening tea time, they serve guests in Kerala traditional costume. They also keep the kids busy with a leaf activity, which they really enjoyed.

The cooking show was really good, and the activities were thoughtfully put together. The peaceful setting among greenery made this a refreshing break from everyday life. The Leaf Munnar is beautifully designed, well kept, and blends in with the surrounding nature. Ajmal and Anagha made arrival easy with a warm welcome and quick check-in, and checkout was just as smooth. We felt cared for from the start. Housekeeping and the kitchen team were courteous and quick, with good attention to detail. Every part of the stay was enjoyable, and we'd happily come back for a calm retreat surrounded by nature.

The evening bonfire with tea and snacks was open to everyone, and the reception was bright with comfortable places for groups to sit and chat. Our Golden leaf room was roomy, with a bar-height table and chair plus a throne-style chair we really liked. Umbrellas in the rooms were thoughtful given how often it rains, and although the restaurant was a long way off, we could request a buggy. Wi-Fi worked well in most parts of the resort, parking was plentiful with valets available, and staff were courteous. Mr.Sriram dealt with my complaint about the extra bed right away. Food was mostly average. Breakfast had lots of choices, including Dosa and Eggs made at live counters and served to the table after ordering, but continental options were very limited. I was disappointed there was no French toast or waffle. The pool felt too small for the number of guests, and many people went in without proper swimwear or head covers. The last part of the access road is in very poor shape. The resort is remote, with Anachal town at least 15 minutes away, so expect to eat most meals there. Desi Aromas and Underground are nearby and good, but pricey. Some locally staffed employees were hard to understand in English. There were three adults in our room for four nights.
