The morning canoe trip through the backwaters is well worth doing, and the staff were courteous and helpful during our stay. This is a peaceful, green and incredibly scenic spot on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake and the Kallada River. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was good, though the buffet could use a few more choices. A lovely place to relax by the water for a night or two. I'd visit again.

The peaceful setting and lovely scenery made this a great nature break. Our room faced the lake, with a stunning, calming view, and it was comfortable too. The canoe ride was a fantastic part of the stay. Highly recommended.

The boat trip was a highlight, and the resort arranged it for a fee. I'd suggest going in the morning, since strong winds later meant we couldn't travel all the way to Ashtamudi Lake. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and the staff were friendly, polite and always smiling. Our clean lake-view room was comfortable, although the facilities were basic. We only stayed one night and spent most of it outdoors, so that wasn't much of an issue. The food was delicious and portions were generous, though a few menu items weren't available, possibly because of an LPG shortage. Badminton, box cricket and fishing were also on offer. A lovely nature getaway, and one I'd recommend.

We woke up to a wonderfully peaceful lake view from our room, and the clean, well-kept swimming pool was great for relaxing with the family. The restaurant's Kerala dishes were delicious. The canoe trip through Munroe Island's narrow canals was especially memorable, and the outdoor activities were well organized. Kashyap and Sarika from the restaurant team, along with Shruthi at the front office, were friendly and helpful throughout, making sure we were comfortable. A great place to unwind in nature. Highly recommended.

The one drawback for me was the poor Wi-Fi and mobile signal. It didn't bother me on a digital detox, though it could be an issue if you're working remotely. Really, this place is too beautiful to spend your time working, so enjoy the rides. The staff and managers were very polite, the food was good, and the stay was awesome. It's a perfect location, a little expensive but still good value. If you can, get a lake-view room for the view when you wake up. Ask the staff to arrange boat rides, they'll help however they can. One of my best stays in Kerala, and I'll definitely come back.
