Milam Inn

I mainly came for the view, and this place definitely delivers. You can see the Panchachuli peaks from the room, with incredible sunrise and sunset views that are perfect for shooting and making content. For scenery, it’s easily 10/10 and totally worth it. The rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable. Service can be a bit slow, especially for food, mostly because there are limited staff, but honestly that doesn’t matter much to me. I usually manage the food part wherever I go.

The balcony at Hotel Milam Inn, Munsiyari has wonderful sunrise and sunset views over the snow-covered Panchachuli range. We stayed with my family on 6th and 7th June 2025. The hotel was clean and pleasant, the food was tasty, and the staff polite and helpful. Service may be a little slow because staff are limited, but that’s understandable, and there’s ample parking. Mr. Santosh Kumar, the manager, was courteous and supportive. The hotel also connected us with Mr. Kapil Dev Mishra, an excellent driver who picked us up from Kathgodam and drove us around the Kumaon region. He drove safely, behaved very well, and was a great photographer. Highly recommended for visitors to Nainital, Almora, Kausani, Chaukori, and Munsiyari.

From the balconies you can see both sunrise and sunset, with a great 360 view of the panchachuli peaks. The rooms are clean and hygiene is maintained properly. One drawback for ground floor stays on the standard package is the Wi-Fi, which can be very weak or almost nonexistent. Food from the kitchen takes a long time too. Since it’s a large inn, even a small coffee order may take up to half an hour, so it may be better to skip the food and go to the market.

Clean rooms, great views, good food, and courteous, helpful staff. It’s a good hotel and a very good place to stay in Munsiyari. 8/10 👍🏼 It’s a 5-10 minute drive from the city and 5 minute drive from Khaliya Peak Trek.
