Jassons Sheesh Mahal

A nice place to stay on NH44, with a good property, great rooms, and good food.

I’ve been to Jassons Sheesh Mahal twice, and both times I went for South Indian food. The idli and dosa taste next level, and the tea is great too, a nice way to recharge before getting back on the road. It’s a well-built dhaba in Murthal, with reasonable rates and good service. There’s parking, clean washrooms that are maintained daily, and a confectionery shop for chips, cold drinks, cakes, and other bits. They also have rooms and halls for functions and weddings.

We stopped here on our way to Patiala. The food seemed fresh and was good quality, and the hospitality seemed fine. Service was fast, especially considering it’s on a highway. There are rooms if you need to stay overnight. The restrooms were just OK.

From far away, Jason sheesh mahal could pass for a five-star hotel, and it has the amenities of a five-star restaurant. The seating and atmosphere are polished, there are cool food stalls outside, and the parking lot is huge. The toilets were very well maintained too. I’m a traveler who tries to keep things on a budget, so the place looked expensive at first, but after seeing the menu, the prices could give any local dhaba a run for its money. They serve almost every kind of food you might want. If it were closer to the city, I think it would draw a lot more people and become a favorite stop.
