The pool was in awful shape and didn’t look properly cleaned. Even the water seemed questionable, which raised hygiene worries, including about amoebic meningitis. There was just one staff member trying to cover reception, registration, luggage, and extra beds, and they were quite rude. The place had felt like a five-star experience during its inauguration, when the investment was obvious, but it now seems badly maintained, more like a two-star stay. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were polite, and service was good enough to make up for some of the shortage. The atmosphere is nice, with plenty of spots for photos, and the food was above average though not outstanding. The access road is only wide enough for one car, and the lift wasn’t working. They also seemed short staffed.

The billing at the end was the worst part: we confirmed 29 people that morning, but were still charged for 40. It felt like deliberate overcharging. Earlier, although our day package was meant to begin at 10:00 AM, nobody welcomed us or responded, and there was no welcome drink until 11:00 AM. We had booked two rooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs, but neither was ready at 10:00 AM. The lift was out of order, so guests had to take the stairs, and the first-floor room’s bathroom pipe wasn’t working. There was no air conditioning on the ground floor, which was uncomfortable during the day. We’d booked the day package for a maximum of 40 people, with the exact headcount to be confirmed on the day. The stay at Wetzlar Resort was unpleasant and badly managed, with poor service, maintenance, and billing. Not worth the money, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Inside, the resort feels like a completely different world, and it stays naturally cool compared with other places. The surroundings, food, and service all felt special. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it as the best option in Moovattupuzha city.
