Golden Bells

The place needs proper upkeep. The beds are quite old and the bathrooms weren't clean. Cockroaches and mosquitoes were present in every room.

The location was excellent, and there was plenty of free parking in the basement. The room and bathroom, though, weren't as clean as I'd hoped. Maybe my expectations were too high, but a cleaner space would have helped. We'd booked this serviced apartment on Airbnb for a weekend with five people. At check-in I was told the reservation covered just one person and had to be changed for five. I paid extra after being told the original price only included four people. Then I had to ask for another bed and pay for that too, though I later realized the extra bed was meant to be included. After the long drive and frustrating check-in, I hadn't caught that at the time. I expected the staff to handle this more professionally. It felt like they were trying to make quick cash. Not a good experience.

They shut all the gates at 11 pm, so I had to jump one and get reception to open them. That was one more problem in a stay that already felt like a nightmare. The AC leaked all night and ruined my dress, and the apartment was full of cockroaches when we arrived at night. It also looked like cleaning and pest control hadn't been done.

The apartment itself was neat and clean, but our late check-in turned into a hassle. The person who booked for us had paid part of the rent in advance, and I asked the manager if we could confirm the balance with them in the morning and pay then. He said it was prepaid, and we had to pay the full rent for all three planned days or he wouldn't let us in. In the end, when I said I only wanted to stay one night, he let us in. The manager was rude, and dealing with him at that hour was frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this if you have a reliable hotel available.
