Itsy by Treebo - Greenwood Inn and Suites

The location is an advantage, but I'd still avoid this place. They didn't seem to care about customers. The phone connections weren't working, and even after asking repeatedly, I wasn't given towels. The bathroom was old and rusty, there were no basic items like glasses or a water heater, and the AC didn't cool properly.

Green Wood Inn worked well for exploring Mysore. Mysore Palace, the Zoo, and Chamundi Hill were all easy to reach from its central location, which made getting around convenient. My room was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the rates were reasonable for the area. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to help. I felt at home and had a fantastic stay. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Mysore.

From outside the hotel looks grand, but inside it's a regular economy place with small rooms. We booked without advance notice and got a reasonable rate. Hot water was available all day, the bathroom was clean, and there were liquid handwash and body wash dispensers. The AC worked properly, but the ceiling fan made so much noise it was irritating. There was a small TV with only a few cable channels. At check-in, the receptionist handed us two shampoo sachets and one small soap at the counter. There's no restaurant, so no breakfast. Staff are very limited. Basement parking fits two or three cars, and a couple more can park in front, but the road outside is very busy.

We got more comfortable after moving to a premium room, which had one double bed, two single beds, a table, a tea table, a chair, and a wardrobe. It was spacious, had a good road view from the windows, and the toilet was good. There was a centralized geyser, but the side fan wouldn't swing, and neither the TV nor AC remote worked. The first two double rooms we'd booked for four people were cramped, unclear, and very dimly lit. Even in the upgraded room, the lights felt so gloomy it put me in a depressed mood. Breakfast was free and good, but not hot, and the tea and coffee weren't good. The lift was horrible, stopping between floors so we could see the wall. Parking was difficult in this traffic area. The hotel is in the city center, with Samudra Hotel opposite, a masjid in front, and a church within walking distance. It also took a long time to get through to customer care. Overall, the premium room was okay and comfortable.
