We paid 3k a night for a room that felt like a cheap lodge, and our two nights cost 6k. The room was on the ground floor beside reception in a very old building. Paint was peeling, the window had no latch and stayed open, and the room smelled bad. The cot was in terrible shape, the pillow covers were stained, and the floor mat was filthy and smelly. Opening the cupboard made me feel nauseous. The bathroom was awful, with dirt near the lock and a broken windowpane you could see through. The shower fell when I tried to use it, so I had to bathe with a bucket. There were many electrical wires and cables in the bathroom that could cause a shock if touched. At night, the men at reception talked and watched their phones, and I could hear them clearly because our room was so close. It disturbed my sleep and spoiled the mood of our vacation. A terrible experience. Please don’t choose this hotel.

We booked five rooms by phone and paid 3000 in advance after being told the rooms were really good. When we arrived, they were in awful condition, so we asked for a refund. The management has changed, and the maintenance is very poor. They always lie, in my experience, and I don’t trust these people to run the business. They seemed fraudulent to us. Be careful.

Check-in was the worst part. The man at the counter was extremely rude and didn’t understand other languages. When I couldn’t communicate properly in his language, I think he verbally abused me in Kannada. The rooms were average, and the geyser didn’t work, so I had to ask for a manual heater, which felt risky. The surroundings don’t justify the price. Avoid this hotel.

The hotel is within a mile of the palace in mysore, and it seems to rely on that location to attract customers. The building is old, and our room wasn’t maintained. There was seepage across the whole wall, no phone, and very old furniture. It wasn’t worth what we paid.
