The lodge name doesn't match the name in the register, and the reception is tiny and empty. The TV seems to be there just for show because it doesn't work. Hot water from the solar system is only available on sunny days, not at night, and the windows let rain in. Response time was poor, and we could hear neighbours' private activity. Prices go up on weekends and festivals. This isn't an OYO lodge or hotel anymore.
The bathroom wasn't hygienic, and the beds smelled awful, as if they hadn't been washed in ages. For the price, this was the worst lodge I've stayed at, maybe 1/10. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who cares about being comfortable or having a clean room.
The room was spacious, and the bed could fit two adults and two kids, or three adults. There's a TV but no AC. The only front office and service person was friendly, and the place is about 1 km from the railway station and KSRTC bus stop. Clean floor, but it felt a little sticky underfoot. The bed had hair all over it, and the bathroom was a disappointment: no hot water, a broken tap and shower, and a spoiled washbasin that couldn't be used. They gave us a towel when we asked, but it smelled, and there was no soap.
Wouldn't take my family here. Seems more suited to bachelors and drinkers.
The manager was friendly, and I liked his lovely South Indian accent. It was cheap and basically good, though the bed was average. There were broken windows and mosquitoes, no AC, and no nearby vegetarian hotel.
