Roopa Elite

The rooftop restaurant was the standout for me. The food was so yummy, and the staff there were absolutely amazing. We arrived early for breakfast, and they made sure we got food. The property sits in a nice neighborhood, and the large glass windows looked out onto a lovely green space. Overall it was a great stay. The one thing I didn’t like was the aircon, which seemed to be mixed up with the restroom exhaust. Sometimes after the toilet had been used, the air from the AC didn’t feel fresh.

For a short visit, this is a comfortable, reliable option with good value for money, though it isn’t a luxury stay. I was here on a business trip and found the location convenient for getting around the city. The rooms were clean and spacious, but a few areas could use maintenance. Staff were helpful and polite, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. The rooftop restaurant and pool were nice extras, and the food was decent.

I stayed at Roopa Elite for a whole month and really felt at home. It was my first visit to India, and I especially want to thank Mr Kundan for how exceptionally well he looked after me. I haven’t experienced anything like that in other places I’ve traveled. He kept checking that I had what I needed and was safe, arranged transport, booked train tickets, and helped plan the rest of my travels. He invited me to his home to meet his family, which gave me a local experience, and even took me to the station when I left Mysore. He’ll keep helping me as I travel around India. Everyone was incredibly kind, from the receptionists, including Robert, Teja Swini, to the restaurant and laundry staff. They were all 5*! The rooms are spacious and very clean, with nice balconies. I also enjoyed the pool and restaurant terrace. There are good, safe food choices for western stomachs, and they can adjust to different food requirements. I’d recommend Roopa Elite to any woman traveling solo, especially if she’s coming to Mysore for yoga. The area is very safe, and Gokulam is a five-minute rickshaw ride away. The whole team made my stay exceptional, and I’m definitely coming back.

The rooms are modern and roomy, the breakfast menu is good, and the pool is small but really cozy. I liked the owner's plan to improve the service, and the doorbells, room service and cleanliness are all good for the price. My stay was only mediocre overall, though. Lunch and dinner need attention: we had stomach aches and acidity, so they may want to look at the food quality. They also need more staff to serve guests.
