The Hillside Hotel

Santosh and Mohammed at reception, along with Yashwant and Abdul from the kitchen team, made everything smooth and comfortable. Many thanks to them for their outstanding hospitality. I had a wonderful four-day stay, with excellent facilities and ambience. Highly recommended for a visit to Mysore.

We had a beautiful view from our room, and the hotel is near Chamundi Hill. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful throughout, and the service was excellent. There are two great restaurants on the property with delicious food. A wonderful stay, and definitely one I’d recommend to anyone visiting Mysore.

We stayed with family from 22-26Oct and had an excellent time in Mysore. Muhammed and Manoj were especially polite, always ready to help with a smile. The restaurant team were good too, and customized breakfast items for our request for zero spicy food.

The location caused us a lot of trouble. It’s far from both the station and central Mysuru, and finding local transport back to the hotel was a hassle. The rooms were very small for the daily price, and ours smelled pretty bad when we entered. During the Mysuru Dasara Festival, the stay also fell short of the expectations set by the reviews. At check-in, the receptionist just handed over the keys and told us to find the room ourselves. Other visitors seemed to have a separate staff member assigned to them. At breakfast, some staff attended to specific guests and completely ignored our requests, so I’d rate the hospitality zero. The food was overpriced, and the quality was disappointing. Overall, it wasn’t the experience I expected, so I’d give it 2/5.
