The resort is about 10 km from Mysore Palace, and we found it through Google reviews after arriving in Mysore without a booking on December 27 (Saturday). That was a mistake, as most places were full. We checked OYO and Goibibo and called a lot of hotels and guest houses; most were full or quoted around ₹4,000 for one room with one bed. Calling this resort directly got us a rate of ₹3,150, which seemed reasonable given the demand. We had a full house with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a hall, plus 24-hour hot water. It was peaceful and spacious, with a kitchen where we could make Cerelac for our kid. The place is also Instagram-worthy for photos and a relaxed stay. The serious issue was finding a used condom in the dustbin, a clear sign the room hadn’t been properly checked before it was allotted. It was late when we checked in, so we didn’t tell reception, but management needs to take this seriously and improve room checks and housekeeping. Good value and family-friendly, though cleanliness needs work.

The owner let us into our room at 8 AM, even though check-in was meant to be at 12 PM, which was very convenient. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was good and affordable, though charged separately. The view was okay, nothing special, but fine. There was some water stagnation on top of the building, and the place was busy enough that we could hear outside conversations in our room. The building itself is well constructed. With better noise control and maintenance, it could be a great stay.

The location worked perfectly for me, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I had a great, peaceful stay at The Palmyrah Tenements and would definitely recommend it.
