The calm, natural feel made this a lovely place to pause on the drive from Wayanad to Bengaluru. We stopped at The Village Resort for lunch, and really enjoyed it. The ambience gets 10/10 from me, a peaceful spot to relax on a long trip. We ordered butter naan, kulcha, paneer tikka masala, kadai paneer, and lemonade; everything was tasty and satisfying. Food gets 9/10. A great pit stop.

There's plenty of green space and the staff are polite, with decent amenities and a family-friendly feel. The resort is peaceful and relaxing, though the rooms and food can be inconsistent. It's not a luxury place, but it makes for a nice quiet getaway in Mysuru.

The rooms are roomy enough, the beds comfortable, and the hospitality excellent. About 2km from the bustle of Mysuru city, the place has a well-kept Victorian eraesque exterior and quaint decor along the pathways. I took off a star because there was no card machine for payment.

The food at the restaurant was outstanding, and the courteous staff served it with a smile. The Village resort is beautifully laid out, with green surroundings and a heritage look. Though it's small, spread over 3 acres, and has adequate parking, with Uber services easy to find. The clean, well-maintained rooms were good, though bedside tables with drawers would have made them more comfortable. It's centrally located, and we had a memorable stay. I'd love to return.
