Treebo Akshaya Palace Inn

We stayed one night with family and felt safe in the residential neighborhood, which wasn't isolated. The service was prompt and responsive, and basement parking was convenient. The restaurant food was satisfactory for a short stay. The room was fairly comfortable, and the AC and remote worked properly. Still, cleanliness could be better, especially pest control and general maintenance. The furnishings were old and showed wear and tear. Overall, it was a decent experience.

The biggest problem was how the complaints were handled. The staff kept saying the AC was working, even though two of our three rooms had no cooling. We had to complain twice, and around midnight a friend finally raised his voice at reception before they agreed to move us. The units looked old and poorly maintained. We were six adults and five children, booked into three rooms at Akshaya Palace Inn, Mysuru, expecting a comfortable family stay based on its online rating. Instead, one commode was tilted and unstable, a bathroom drain was clogged, the fan had no regulator and ran at one speed, and there was a lot of dust in the rooms and cabinets. Staff seemed unconcerned throughout. With children, I’d avoid this place unless maintenance and service improve considerably.

The restaurant was a letdown: no AC, very little seating, no room service after 10 p.m., and a vegetarian menu with few choices. The food, tea included, was below par. It felt more like a local eatery than a hotel restaurant. For a rate of Rs. 4000+ per night, the stay at the Treebo property in Mysore didn’t feel worth it. The room itself was adequate, but the bathroom was below what I’d expect even at a standard 3-star hotel. They provided no dental kit, shampoo, or soap, just a refillable hand wash/body wash dispenser shared by guests, which raised hygiene concerns. The amenities and service felt closer to a basic homestay.

The breakfast was excellent, and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was our first time staying alone, and we’d had a lot of safety concerns before check-in. We wanted to come back on 6th Feb 2026, but there were no rooms available.
