Varsha Enclave White House

The blankets were full of mould when we checked out, which was disgusting and unacceptable. We also had to keep asking for basics like clean towels, drinking water, soap or shampoo, and coffee sachets. I spoke to the owner, but they didn't seem interested in fixing the problems. On checkout day, they offered a free stay the next day, which was no help to us. I'm surprised the place has its rating, and I wouldn't recommend it to families expecting a comfortable stay. At Varsha Enclave White House, Mysore, the fridge, electric stove, TV, and water heater weren't working when my family and I arrived. After a tiring trip, we had to bathe in cold water in cold weather. We were told the issues would be fixed while we were out the next day, but when we came back, only one bathroom heater worked partially. Later they gave us keys to another flat so we could bathe, but that bathroom's tap wasn't working either, so there was still no proper hot water. Several people ended up sharing one bathroom, and some of my family had to use cold water.

The location is peaceful, and parking is good. The house itself is old, though, with road noise and water leaking in the bathroom. The kitchen was useless, and all the windows had been left open, so closing them one by one was a big task. The mattresses were dirty. There were no bedside lamps, so we had to leave the living room light on and sleep with the bedrooms open. One bedroom didn't have an attached bathroom.

I've stayed here four times before and expected better service. Their supervisor, Mr. Shiva Shankar, was in the front office playing games on his phone and didn't greet or acknowledge us. We had to ask for his attention, and he wouldn't help move the luggage from the car to the room. They provided just one water bottle. When I asked for more, he rudely said they wouldn't give any, despite knowing I'd stayed there many times. The bathroom smelled of cigarettes, and the towels were unusable. I'm not coming back.

The quiet, peaceful surroundings made this a lovely homestay, and I really enjoyed being there. We paid just 1500 rupees for a 2BHK room. It was clean, with the basics covered: towels, geysers, water and electricity. Food and drinking water weren't included.
