Blossoms Village Resort

We come to Blossoms almost every year with family, and we love the location and views. The rooms and service could be better, though. Hospitality has come a long way over the last 5 years, but Blossoms still seems to have the same old rooms, the same medimix soap in the bathrooms, and water that takes half an hour to heat up. It gets quite cold after November, so that’s frustrating. The terrace restaurant is beautiful and the food is decent, with room to improve. It’s a lovely resort that could be amazing with some updates.

The cliff rooftop restaurant has out-of-this-world views, and the resort offers one of the best sights from this side of Himachal Pradesh. Set below dharamshala, it’s away from the bustle of the town market. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all quite good, and the staff were well trained and very warm. The facilities need attention, though. Over our 4 days, there was no warm water on day 1, the heater didn’t work on day 2, and the toilet flush failed on day 3. Fixing those issues would make it worthy of 5 stars. We’ll still visit and stay again for those mind-blowing views.

We stayed at the resort for a family vacation. The surroundings, property and people felt like a mix of ups and downs, a bit like the hill weather. The bed linen and room quality were satisfactory, and the hotel staff were courteous, but the toilets weren’t kept in good condition. Staffing also seemed thin: one person was taking orders, running food to rooms and serving restaurant guests. The property could certainly be maintained better.

The menu is quite limited, which seems to help them keep the food tasty and consistent. Prices are reasonable too, a nice bonus. There’s a friendly dog that gets the attention of every dog lover. The late evening atmosphere is the reason to visit with your special someone. Keep it up!
