Hobo Hostel

There were five of us for three nights and four days. The manager, Atin, was very professional and helpful. The food was good, and the price felt reasonable. Worth the money.

Atit keeps this place really well maintained. The rooms are hygienic, comfortable, and well equipped, and the food apparently comes from their own farms. You can taste the difference. Most things are organic, and they make a real effort to cut down on waste. There's also a little library for locals to read and nurture their imagination, so feel free to donate a book if you visit. It's a peaceful, no-fuss place, and surprisingly reasonable too.

The staff were compassionate and professional, and went out of their way to make the stay a good one. Hobo Hostel is peaceful, with great views and plenty of parking. It's far enough from the city for some quiet, while still close enough to head into town. The food has lots of options, and the clean, comfortable rooms and bunks are matched by well-kept washrooms. The common area is a nice spot to relax or meet other travelers. WiFi was fast and reliable, which made it easy to work remotely. Whether you want to unwind or get work done, this is a great place to stay in Dharamshala.

There are lots of things to see around the hostel. Having your own vehicle or renting one can save time and help you cover more in a short visit. Before booking, my friends asked Mr Atit about the hostel online and were convinced they could rely on it. They were right :) Our group had a comfortable stay. Mr Atit's patience, hospitality, guidance, and suggestions helped with our trip, and the room was comfortable too. The homely food was generously priced, and we got a lot of help planning what to explore.
