Hotel The Crown

The balcony and view are one of the best parts of this peaceful place near Dharmshala, away from the city and crowds and close to nature. It’s about 200m from Aghanjar Mahadev temple, 3-4km from Gyuto Tantric Monastery, and 6-7km from main Dharmshala city, with good connections to key tourist spots. Rooms are beautiful, clean, and hygienic, with basic things like a dressing table, tables and chairs, a geyser, and toiletries. The restaurant serves good-quality food with good taste. Staff were helpful and really nice, and the owner was humble and welcoming. They helped me rent a bike and suggested local places. I felt safe there, both because of the people around and the ambience. Service was very fast, staff would be at the door in max 2-3 mins when I asked for something. A peaceful, relaxing stay with your partner.

The food tasted good and restaurant service was great, but the prices seemed a bit high once taxes were added, considering the location. Still, the comfort and service convinced me to extend my stay at Hotel The Crown. I’d booked one night and planned to move to another hotel for the next 3 days, but ended up staying for my whole trip. My Mountain View room was very comfortable with an amazing view, 24/7 hot water, and all the basic amenities. Staff were helpful, food service was quick, and the front office team was great, especially Akhil ji. I’ll definitely visit again!

The leisure-time activities run by the faculty were fun, and the stay itself gave us no complaints. The food was spectacular, especially the Chef Special 'afgaani Chicken', which really stood out for its quality, texture, and taste. Big thanks to executive chef Mr Angrez & Mr. Madan lal ji, who came around to each restaurant table for feedback and great recommendations. A fantastic experience in Dharmshala, highly recommend this Hotel.

We were surprised and pleased when the hotel upgraded our room. It was spacious, well maintained, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay, with serene mountain views to wake up to. At Hotel The Crown on Khaniyara Dharamshala, the staff were attentive, kind, and went out of their way to help from the moment we arrived. Their care made us feel valued. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend Hotel the to anyone visiting Dharamshala for the views, service, and comfort.
