Hotel Nagaon Point

The location is good, but the rest of the stay was awful. The place barely seemed occupied, and the lobby, hallways, and parking area were so dark that at night it felt like a haunted building. The restaurant smelled terrible, and although the room menu listed lots of dishes, almost nothing was actually available. Staff kept asking where I was headed. After checkout, the bed linen hadn't been changed, and we had to get several dirty pieces replaced one by one. There was no real night security: one caretaker was responsible for the hotel and was drunk. We got back from a wedding at 2:30 am to find the main door locked, and it took a lot of effort to wake him so he could let us in. The bathroom floor was dirty and dangerously slippery, apparently from poor upkeep. In room 206, the toilet shifted so much it seemed it could topple if touched. The glass bathroom door wasn't fully transparent, but you could still clearly see through it. The tea flask was broken and had no lid, with polythene and aluminium foil used to cover it. The towels and curtains were badly torn. They carried our bags to the room at check-in, but at checkout they didn't help even after repeated calls. The TV had no subscribed channels; after I complained, someone brought a set-top box from another room with only a few news channels.
