Hotel Al Zam Zam

Both visits left me disappointed. The takeaway biryani the first time had rice that wasn’t cooked properly. On my second visit, I dined in and ordered biryani at 12 :45. It arrived very cold, so it seemed stale. The pieces were Balck in colour. I pointed it out, but they only reheated the dish and brought it back. This was a terrible experience, and that biryani wasn’t worth the price.

The dining experience felt a bit uncomfortable, and the hygiene and food quality fell short of expectations. I asked for less spicy food, but the dishes were still very spicy. Service could also be better. I hope they make improvements.

We went as a family and ordered the al zam zam special biriyani. It was more than enough for three people. They served chhach at the start, and it was really good.

Don’t take the Google rating at face value. They ask guests to leave feedback before checkout and make sure you post the rating in front of them. At 7 pm on a weekend, I was told Chinese food wasn’t available because the chef wasn’t there. The curry we ordered was badly burnt. They replaced it after I complained, but a restaurant shouldn’t serve a dish like that in the first place. Service was slow. There was only one steward covering the whole family section, and he was doing his best, but the place needs more staff. My ratings: Location 5/5, Hospitality 4/5, Food 1/5, Service 3/5.
