Octave Uptown Suites

The location beside the main road is the only good thing I can say about this place. The hotel smelled bad, and insects and cockroaches were all over it. I asked several times for the corridors, toilet, and room to be cleaned, but they said only 5-7 staff were working and cleaning wasn't done daily because the hotel was often empty. They still didn't provide room service or clean the other areas after I complained. Staff were unprofessional and didn't seem to care. Breakfast was just boiled eggs, idli, and bread with butter. The basic room was around 3000 rupees, which felt far too much when similar rooms elsewhere can be found for 1000. The building is old and has been renovated without proper upkeep or skilled staff. Don't trust the photos. Avoid this place.

Breakfast tasted good and had a decent variety, and I was comfortable during my stay at Uptown Hotel, Nagpur. The room wasn't ready properly, though: after check-in the AC began leaking water and left a bad smell. That kind of maintenance should be handled before a guest arrives. I also wish the breakfast had been served hot and fresh.

I didn't like the property. My cousin was staying there for two nights, and after work he asked me to come by so we could sit and talk. While we were in the room, there was a foul smell. You could also hear people walking in the hallway and noise from the room next door.

For what the hotel charges, this felt very overpriced. The room was so small it was hard to move around, and the property seemed poorly maintained. The bathroom flush was leaking, which gave an unhygienic impression. My stay didn't meet expectations.
