Oyo 23541 Vijay Shanta Hospitality

We had a lovely family stay. The bathrooms were clean, hot and cold water was always available, and the 2-ton AC was good. The Chinese food tasted great, though it did take a while to arrive. Otherwise, everything felt perfect.

We were told there was no room when we reached Oyo 23541 around 6 pm, even though I had booked for my parents and elder brother through goibibo. Staff said they’d informed goibibo and had no contract with them, and that wrong bookings happened often. I’d travelled with my family from Seoni so they wouldn’t have trouble checking in, then needed to catch a 7:50 pm train from Ajni railway station, only about 600 meters away. Receptionist avinash let us use a temporary room for an hour or two to freshen up and keep the luggage while I looked for somewhere else, since your team hadn’t arranged accommodation and cancelled at the last moment. When my family came back for their bags, avinash said a room had opened up and charged 1000 rupees for the night. I don’t know if the difference from the roughly 750 INR we paid through goibibo explains what happened. It was the worst experience of my life.

Nothing fancy or luxurious, just an average hotel with the basics a traveler needs. The resident caretaker was kind and still served us breakfast even though we were running late.

A big room in a handy central spot. The railway station, bus stand, and airport are all accessible from here. It’s especially convenient if you’re coming for hospital treatment, since several major hospitals are nearby. We had a very good stay.
