Cedar Woods - A Boutique Resort

The only good thing was that the rooms were clean. We had poor service, an unfriendly staff attitude, and felt there was little basic courtesy or hospitality. If I could have rated it below one star, I would have. I came to Cedar Valley with my wife and my Shihtzu baby, and the stay was extremely disappointing. There wasn’t proper parking for us, and towels weren’t provided until we specifically asked. Guests in the neighboring room played loud music until around 2:00 a.m., and then monkeys made a lot of noise on the roof above us at about 6:00 a.m. We didn’t get a peaceful night or morning. We had booked breakfast included, but after we served ourselves, staff took away our plates and told us breakfast wasn’t part of our booking. Their behavior was rude and unprofessional. I’d recommend keeping these problems in mind before booking.

We had to switch rooms three times because of ongoing problems. The TV didn’t work, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, water supply issues persisted, and hygiene fell below expectations. Breakfast quality was poor as well. For the high price, the service and facilities were far from satisfactory. It was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, and I wouldn’t recommend Cedar Woods to anyone looking for comfort and value for money. Rating: 0/5 ⭐

The evening live music had a great vibe, and the weather was beautiful. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay with family and friends at Cedar Woods Resort, Nainital. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were polite and helpful. Kartik Bhai gave us great support and guidance throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

I went on a summer trip with my two brother-in-law families and stayed at Cedor Resort in Nainital from 24th to 26th May 2026. I want to express my strong displeasure with the experience. The rooms were untidy, hospitality fell short, and the amenities were unsatisfactory. There’s considerable room for improvement in several areas. Staff response was poor, and guest service management needs serious attention. Management should act quickly to improve the facilities and service, or the resort’s current ratings and reputation may decline further. I hope they take these problems seriously and make the necessary corrections.
