Chirping Hills Resort Bhimtal

The food was superb, with a great balance of spices, and parking was easy. We stayed just one night, but the location and upkeep impressed us, and there were plenty of indoor and outdoor games. Mr. Mehta was especially welcoming. I couldn't find anything to complain about, and the owner deserves credit for maintaining the property so well. I'd recommend it for a work trip or a personal stay.

There are several free things to do here, from carrom, foosball and table tennis indoors to archery and swings outside. Our room, 710, had a roomy private balcony and plenty of space inside. We were there for two days, from 16-02-2026 to 18-02-2026. We booked breakfast too, and it was delicious, so I'd say it's good value to include it with your room.

The advertised photos gave us a very different impression from what we found. Our room was uncomfortable and in poor condition, and the gaming area smelled so foul that we couldn't use it. Food quality was shockingly bad, too. Getting there was a real problem because the location is so remote. There was no independent cab access, so guests depend on the resort for transport, at nearly double or triple the price. We couldn't even eat the complimentary breakfast, and ended up waiting for a cab until 1pm to leave and find somewhere decent to eat. Management felt careless and service was weak. The whole stay felt like a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend it, there are better options in Bhimtal.

What we saw online was nowhere near the actual rooms, which were dirty, uncomfortable and poorly maintained. The gaming room smelled so bad it was impossible to use, and the amenities were useless. The food had a bad taste, little choice, and wasn't worth the price. The resort is isolated and very hard to reach. There aren't regular cabs available, and you can't book one yourself from there, so the resort arranges transport at almost double or triple the usual fare. Service felt careless throughout, and the experience was a waste of money. I won't return or recommend this place.
