The first room wasn’t properly cleaned, and we didn’t get it until around 1:30 PM even though check-in was stated as 12:00 PM. We raised the cleaning issue and were moved to another room, but that one had several problems too. It had a connecting access to another room, which concerned us for privacy and security, and there were belongings from another guest inside, suggesting poor housekeeping. The intercom/telephone wasn’t working, so contacting staff was difficult. No manager seemed to be on-site, and the staff there couldn’t properly deal with our concerns or give clear help. Food service fell short as well, and the property didn’t seem to have a properly managed kitchen. The stay didn’t match the standards advertised when we booked. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves service for future guests.

The staff and owner made the stay especially nice with how warm and helpful they were. The setting is right in nature, with a full 360-degree view, and the scenery from sunrise through sunset is the best I saw in all of Nainital. Getting there can be confusing: Google Maps may send you on a roughly 13 km detour. Call the hotel staff instead and they can direct you along a shorter route, about 3-4 km from the Nainital bus stand.

The views are great, the location is good, and the owner and staff were pleasant. Still, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There were spiders in the room and the bathrooms were poorly maintained, including a leak. Access is difficult and can feel risky. You can't bring your own vehicle if it's over five seats, and pickup for four people costs around 200 rupees, with luggage extra. Staff were good and polite, but the pickup and drop service is chargeable.

The view is stunning and shows Nainital's simple charm beautifully. We found the staff polite, and the stay itself was amazing. Sightseeing spots are nearby too. A luxurious-feeling stay at a budget price, highly recommend.

We were glad we chose to have dinner at the hotel, since there aren't any shops or restaurants nearby, and the meals were very good. The service was thoughtful and exceeded what we expected. The hotel is about 3.5 km from Nainital, away from traffic and noise, with lovely views from sunrise to sunset. We arrived from Agra around the end of November without being ready for the colder weather, but heaters are available to rent. You can also eat dinner by a bonfire. It felt like a quiet little piece of paradise, and I'd highly recommend it.
