Hotel Citizen Inn

The bathroom stinks, service in the room is awful, and the staff are rude. Sardarji is especially rude. There's no elevator or kettle, and they give you only one towel regardless of how many guests you have. Pathetic hotel. I wouldn't recommend it for a family visit.

The owner, Sardarji, came across as arrogant, and treated guest concerns like personal insults. I've seen him argue with people asking for a bill or to pay by credit card. Service felt lazy and careless, like a punishment, and the owner seemed completely unbothered. Sleep was a joke because of the constant noise. It made me wonder if the place was doubling as a construction site or railway platform. Comfort and rest were nowhere to be found, and the rooms were horrible. A pathetic experience, worth zero stars rather than one. Avoid this place if you don't want to waste money, lose sleep, or test your patience. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

For the price, I was disappointed. The sheets and blankets smelled unpleasant, the rooms weren't clean, and the food wasn't good either. It didn't feel worth the money.

The owner, Sardarji, is very rude and wouldn't listen to my concerns. They show you one room, then give you another while charging the same price. This is one of the worst hotels I've ever visited, and the worst in Nainital. Please stay at a dharamshala or homestay instead. Never visit this hotel.
