We appreciated how courteous and helpful the staff were at Itsy Hotel Shri GV Inn by Treebo Hotels, Nainital. They stayed polite and cooperative even when we reported problems. We found bed bugs on the bed after checking in. Staff came to inspect but didn't find any at first, and said there hadn't been earlier complaints. Later we spotted more near the headboard, took a photo, and informed them again. They sanitized and thoroughly sprayed insect repellent around the bed and room, though they still seemed unsure about the issue. The room TV wasn't working properly, which affected our comfort a little. Food service was unavailable because of the current gas cylinder shortage situation. We understand it is affecting many places in India, but an alternative arrangement would have been more convenient. We ordered through Zomato instead. Finding the hotel was also difficult. There were few signboards on the way, and even local residents didn't know its exact location. Larger, clearer directional boards from the main road would help future guests. Despite these issues, the staff's helpful manner left us with a positive impression. Better maintenance, facilities, and signage could improve the stay.

We were stuck for nearly four hours before we could drive out of the hotel premises, after a vehicle broke down on the extremely narrow, inconvenient entry road. The two days we spent there were among our worst hotel stays. Our room was tiny, dirty, and poorly maintained, with filthy, unhygienic furniture and spiders inside. The geyser didn't work, and there were hairs in the drinking water provided. The surroundings felt dirty and unhygienic, and the place wasn't suitable for a comfortable stay. A horrendous disappointment.

The staff were all well behaved, and both the rooms and the food were nice. The food was good in quality and quantity. A good hotel.
