JJ's Village - Eco Resort

The homemade Indian food was a real treat, and the staff were kind and quick to help. The owner deserves a special mention too. He checked that we were comfortable, told us about the area, and made an effort to make the visit feel personal. JJ's Village Eco Resort is tucked among greenery above Khurpatal Lake, with lovely views of the hills and a peaceful feel away from busy Nainital, which is only a short drive away. The cottages have a rustic style but are comfortable, and waking to birdsong and misty mornings was a joy. It was a lovely, restful getaway, and I hope to return.

The kids had a great time on the swings, seesaw, in the pool, and around the property, and we enjoyed the room views and good food. Hot water was the main problem. Bathing in cold water in that weather was really difficult. The narrow road was also tricky to manage in our Urbania. Apart from those issues, it was a great place to stay.

Mr Bala helped us arrange a bike rental and cab at very economical prices, which we really appreciated. Our lake-view cottage looked out over Khurpatal Lake, and they arranged a bonfire at night. The manager was welcoming and helpful with everything. The resort is in a peaceful spot, 8 Km from Nainital's traffic.

The resort was clean and very good, with great service from the staff. Its location is lovely, and the views were excellent both at night and in the morning.
