Krazy Hotel

We booked rooms for a wedding. Water leaked through the ceiling in my room, and when I told the attendant, he didn't know anything about it. There were occasional electricity problems too. It's a good place overall, but they should sort out these minor issues.

We booked four rooms through OYO, but the staff denied being partnered with them, which made the visit a real inconvenience. The manager behaved inappropriately, and they also asked for double the quoted booking price. OYO has more options, so skip this place and look at nearby hotels.

We'd booked a 4x Suite for three people through the OYO app, but when we arrived around 1 pm, the manager refused to check us in. He said the rooms weren't available and the only suite had a broken AC. I asked why he hadn't called us, since we'd traveled a long way, and his excuses sounded sly. I called OYO right away. After a serious discussion, he offered us a dormitory. We had nowhere else to go, and there are no OLA or UBER services in Haldwani, so we had to stay wherever they put us. From what I could tell, the rooms were available. Based on the conversation between the manager and OYO support, I inferred he wanted 1600 bucks to move us to a good room, and OYO wouldn't pay. They seemed to have a dispute, and OYO has become a source of disappointment after disappointment. In the huge dormitory, only one AC worked. The supply to the other ACs had been cut off because we'd paid less, and the working unit couldn't cool such a large room. There was no phone to call reception, so we had to walk there whenever we needed something. The washroom tap only dripped, and the manager didn't even have the courtesy to apologize for his mistake.

Right on the main highway, the hotel has a lovely setting and lots of parking. The rooms and room service were good, and the kitchen did a nice job too. Try the soya malai chap and veg steamed momos.
