Latitude 29 by The Lake Resort

The resort is part of The lake resort, about 400mtr away. You can walk or drive to the main resort for lakeside dining. The property is large and peaceful, and could work well for a big group. Staff were well mannered. There were bed bugs in our room, and the food prices felt high for the portions and taste. At the boat stand, they charged a few extra hundred over the local rate. The manager seemed rude, scolding staff in front of guests, which didn't suit the resort's ambience.

We stayed for two days and had a wonderful time at this property near Naukuchiyatal. We woke at 7, before the 8:30 breakfast, and they brought us morning tea and baked biscuits. They really put customers first. The staff were kind and the hospitality was top notch. It was a great place to relax, and I highly recommend staying here. 😊

We came back to Latitude 29 a month later, in June 2025, and the food was consistently good. Siddharth handled our meals with care and warmth, and his calm presence made the experience better. The soups, bruschetta, grilled chicken breast with veggies, chicken mushroom burger, and pizzas all stood out, and the pizzas were a hit with our group. Joshi ji served us patiently and gracefully, so please pass on our thanks to him. We hope to visit again soon. On our first trip, in May 2025, we made a last-minute detour from Mukteshwar to Naukuchiyatal after some new travel friends recommended Latitude 29. The lake was serene and dreamy. The resort had a wedding, so its restaurant wasn't functioning, and Latitude 29, their continental cafe, was also closed. Still, Joshi ji kindly welcomed us in and insisted on making lunch for us after our long journey. The tomato soup was flavourful, the pizza was delicious, and the chicken grilled burger really blew me away. We sat watching the rain and listening to it patter on the shed. Thanks for such an enjoyable lunch and part of our trip.
