Lemon Tree Hotel Mukteshwar

The quiet setting at Lemon Tree Hotel, Mukteshwar made it easy to get away from the crowds and relax. We could take in the breathtaking Himalayan views from our room and the shared areas. The room itself was spacious, very clean, and designed with comfort in mind, especially for the cold weather. A memorable stay, and one I’d recommend for the views and comfort.

We were traveling with two kids, and the team’s thoughtful room upgrade made the stay more comfortable. The food was another highlight, with a great selection and authentic, delicious flavors at every meal. From the bed, we woke to a surreal view of Nanda Devi Peak, and the sunsets from the hotel restaurant were just as mesmerizing. The beautiful, well-maintained property made it tempting to stay in. We visited Lemon Tree Hotel Mukteshwar from 12th to 14th April and had a truly memorable time.

The staff at Lemon Tree Mukteshwar were prompt and courteous, and the food stayed consistently good throughout our visit. Those were the strong points behind our 4-star rating. We booked a duplex room expecting more space, but it felt cramped, with very little room to move, and seemed significantly overpriced for its layout. There’s also a lot of construction around the property at the moment. It takes away from the scenic beauty and quiet resort atmosphere that people come to Mukteshwar for. The property has solid service, though the duplex pricing needs a rethink, and the views may be compromised until the work is finished.

The room had a stunning view, and if you’re lucky, you can see the entire Himalayan range from inside. That was one of the real highlights. Service was superb, the food tasted great and was good quality, and the staff were polite and always ready to help. The hot water was a problem, though. The geysers barely gave us half a bucket, so we had to be careful about showering. Also, walk-in guests played loud music late at night, disturbing the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Better hot water and less late-night noise would improve an already beautiful property with excellent service and views.
