OYO 24489 Hotel Greenwood

The staff were courteous and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location is convenient for the price. Check that the geyser works, though. I had to change rooms at check-in because the one I was given had a faulty geyser. They're renovating the garden, which should make the property look lovely when it's done, but the management needs to improve cleanliness overall. The sports room was dirty and dusty. My stay was good overall.

The food was good, but the service was awful. We asked for drinking water four or five times and never got any. We requested an Allout at 7 pm, then followed up three or four times before they brought it at 10 pm, with mustard oil in the refill. We had booked and paid through OYO, but the hotel said it didn't accept prepaid reservations, so we had to cancel and rebook with payment at the hotel.

I love this place for its simplicity and personal touch. The owner had clearly worked hard to get it running, and when I met him, he made sure everyone was treated like family. The staff were always ready to help, and the hygiene was good. Rooms are affordable and great value. They aren't just big, they're VERY BIG, and there's a good garden too. It's right on the road and easy to reach. I was traveling in the hills with my family about a month earlier and got delayed, so I wanted somewhere comfortable with basic hygiene. I spotted the banner near bhimtal lake and decided to try it. Ask for Ginger-Masala tea!

The room service felt unprofessional, and the restaurant served unhealthy food in limited amounts, saying it was complimentary when we asked for more. The rooms and restrooms were in very poor condition, with torn towels and bedsheets, and the toilets and handwashing area were ugly. The hotel was under maintenance while our group of 12 stayed there as part of a package tour from Delhi. We arrived excited to see Ninital but ran into one problem after another. During dinner, a couple kept passing by with a fierce dog. I raised a concern while we were still staying there, but my earlier comments were deleted after management threatened me. When we finally brought the issue to the package provider, he asked what more we expected.
