I stay here regularly while my son studies at Sherwood College Nainital. It's a cool spot for family holidays, with a calm setting for long, leisurely breaks. Housekeeping is good, the food is nice, and the staff are helpful and cordial. I prefer an independent cottage with a kitchen.

A quiet, cool place with good facilities and service. The staff are friendly, and there are both Veg and Nonvage food options. If you have your own vehicle, it’s a great alternative to staying in Nainital. Bhowali is beautiful in its own right and not far from Nainital.

Other than the view, I found little to like here. The geyser in our room didn't work, and when we called, they had no clue. We ordered breakfast for 8 am, got no response by 9, and it finally arrived at 9.45. The bathroom exhaust didn't work, there were mosquitoes in the room, and the food quality and choices were poor. They gave us tap water instead of complementary mineral water bottles. The TV wasn't working; they said they'd recharge it, but nothing happened. This seriously wasn't up to OYO standards. After this stay, I've started doubting OYO.

The cottages are bare and basic, so keep your expectations in check and you may be fine. It's quite far from both Nainital and Bhimtal, and I couldn't see why I'd stay here instead of somewhere in Nainital. The approach road is steep and calls for careful driving. You get what you pay for.
