The Hosteller Nainital

The Hosteller Nainital was a great stay, with a beautiful lake and mountain view that made the place feel peaceful and refreshing. Rooms and dorms were clean, hygienic, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, cooperative, and always happy to help. I liked the lively common areas for music, games, or just hanging out with other travelers. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The location is close enough to Mall Road while still feeling calm and less crowded. A good fit for solo travelers or groups, with both comfort and hostel fun. I’ll definitely stay again.

Getting to Tiffin Top Trek is easy, it starts just 350 meters from the property. The place is extremely well kept, and the dorms impressed me: clean, spacious, and comfortable, with sturdy bunk beds and a thoughtful layout. Each room had two toilets and two bathrooms, all perfectly clean. The cafeteria is huge, with lots of seating and a nice atmosphere for relaxing or getting work done. Staff across all shifts were supportive, especially the main guy on the day shift. Coded locks on every door made it feel very safe, and Wi-Fi worked well about 95% of the time, which was great for remote work. The property is around 2.5 km from the main area. Without a scooty or bike, expect a steep uphill walk, but it felt worth it once I arrived. I wasn’t disappointed in any area. Thanks for hosting me, I had a wonderful experience.

This was my first solo trip to the mountains, and it became a really special experience. The host suggested a short trek to nearby Tiffin Top, and it was absolutely worth it. I’m taking home lots of lovely memories. The Hosteller Nainital sits in a beautiful offbeat spot, which made the stay peaceful and refreshing, away from the usual crowds. The staff were incredibly supportive and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend it for a memorable mountain stay.

The cafeteria food was decent, though a bit pricey. My only suggestions are to make the toilets and shower a little bigger and add a separate wash basin near the toilet. It’s an affordable hostel with a good range of features that stand out from others, and it works well for solo or group travel. Contactless check-in and check-out, games, and very friendly staff are among the highlights.
