The Whispering Oaks

The hotel is about 1 km from Mall Road, reachable by scooty or taxi, though getting to the rooms may be difficult for elderly people. It was a serene, peaceful place away from the bustle, and the staff were excellent, polite, and quick with requests. After being scammed by a Mall Road hotel at midnight, we had nowhere to go and found this hotel online by chance. Manager Mr. Virender Pratap immediately put us at ease with his warm, courteous welcome, and suggested great sightseeing options in Nainital. Our room and bathroom were clean and well maintained, the appliances all worked, and the view over Naini Lake was splendid, just as pictured. The food was pretty decent too. The walk up may be manageable, but it could still be hard for older guests. Really pleasant stay, highly recommended.

There are hiking trails nearby, and the forest surrounds the property with the lake right in front. The whole atmosphere is calm and tranquil. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff are kind and helpful. You do have to climb slopes and some steps, but it’s worth it.

We got a complimentary dinner, which was a kind gesture, and the staff were a real highlight: friendly, helpful, and even came to pick us up during the trek. The hospitality was honestly 10/10. I visited in February, and the views were amazing, with a very cozy feel. But access is difficult. No transport goes directly there, private cars can’t reach it, and the trek is tiring, especially with luggage. Getting around to nearby places wasn’t convenient either. We’d booked 2 days but cut it to 1 because of the location. Great for peace, views, and a cozy stay, but not convenient if you want easy travel. It’s not suitable for senior citizens, and I’d avoid carrying heavy bags.

We asked for birthday decorations on the balcony, and Kushal, their helper, made it look beautiful and neat. It made the celebration extra special and memorable. Virender, the host, was genuine, caring, and helpful, always ready to assist and go beyond what we asked for. The room’s ambience was beautiful, calming, and thoughtfully maintained. The service was top-notch, and the staff courteous, attentive, and commendable. The Whispering Oaks offers warm vibes and a delightful stay. Highly recommended, a must-visit hotel!
