Vow Resorts And Spa

We were 13 adults and 4 children travelling from Delhi to Jim Corbett, with a confirmed booking at VOW Resort through Agoda for 6 rooms over 24 Jan 2026 to 26 Jan 2026. We paid in full in advance and reconfirmed twice before arriving. Then, at the resort, we were told it was booked for a wedding and our reservation would not be honored. Without asking us, they moved us to Vanashraya, a 3-star resort about 4 km away. We were exhausted after the long trip and had four small kids with us, so we felt we had no choice but to accept Vanashraya. It was deeply disappointing and not what we had paid for. Agoda support did not respond when we tried to reach them, and the VOW reception staff were rude and acted as if the mistake was ours. The whole situation was unacceptable, unethical, and mentally exhausting. This felt like overbooking, mismanagement, and a complete lack of accountability from both Agoda and the property. Guests who have paid and received confirmation should not be treated this way. We are planning to file a complaint in Consumer Court over the harassment and negligence. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do NOT book through Agoda. Confirmations mean nothing to them. Never again.

I only stayed for a day, but it was worth it. The food was tasty and had a nice variety, and the staff were helpful and cooperative. The manager was always ready to lend a hand, and they even arranged a safari for us. Great hospitality, and I’d like to visit again.

We booked 6 rooms at Vow Resorts well in advance through Agoda, then called on 15 January to confirm and ask about safari bookings. On 24 January we called again to remind them to have the rooms ready, and were told to arrive as booked. Yet when we got there, we learned the booking had been moved to Vanashray Resort without our consent or any advance notice. For a group booking of 6 rooms, changing a confirmed reservation like this was completely unacceptable. We arrived on a cold night with children, expecting a comfortable stay, and were left stranded. The receptionist was giving us attitude, and nobody took responsibility. Agoda was impossible to reach: calls stayed on hold endlessly, while chat support offered no timely or satisfactory solution. They provided no help or accountability when it mattered. This was a very poor experience with both Agoda and Vow Resorts, and in our view it amounts to cheating and deficient service. The situation showed gross mismanagement and a lack of transparency, causing mental harassment, inconvenience, and a loss of trust. Confirmed bookings clearly aren’t honored here, so we strongly advise against booking through Agoda or Vow Resorts. We’re considering appropriate action under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) for deficient service and unfair trade practices. Very disappointing.

I really liked this resort. The staff were supportive and the hospitality was good. I wish I could have stayed longer 😐😐😐, and I miss this place so much. Thanks to everyone there for making our trip better.
