The welcome drink, the house specialty *pahadi chai*, was outstanding and set a lovely tone for our stay. At WelcomHeritage Ashdale, Nainital, the food was a highlight: breakfast had a good spread, the team adjusted dishes on request, such as making them less spicy or oily or well done, and dinner at the hotel was equally impressive. The room was a good size and comfortable, with a balcony that got plenty of sunshine and made a pleasant place to relax. It was well maintained, though there was a minor plumbing issue in the bathroom. The location is peaceful, a little away from the bustle of Mall Road and Bara Bazar, but still close enough to walk or drive to them. Being near the Nainital High Court, the area felt safe and well connected rather than secluded. What really stood out was the service from just two staff members, Mohan & Ramesh, who looked after both in-room requests and the dining area. They were warm, attentive, and efficient despite the limited staffing, and deserve special appreciation. With some attention to the minor maintenance issue, the hotel could offer an even more refined experience. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would happily recommend it to travelers seeking a relaxed, well hosted visit in Nainital.

Rani Reena Kumari Ji of Sahapur-Bilari has made this 160+ year old family home into a beautiful heritage property. She was kind and engaging with guests, sharing stories from her life and explaining how she personally oversaw the refurbishment. Guests also get a glimpse of the royal family’s rich history since the early 20th century. A full week at WelcomHeritage Ashdale, Nainital went by in a heartbeat. The warmth of the property and people made it the best stay we’ve had in and around Nainital. Special thanks to Ranjit Ji, Umesh Ji, Ramesh ji, Mohan ji, Chef Soban, GM Surender, and the whole team for making it memorable and feel like a home away from home. Must visit if you’re planning a trip to Nainital!

Mr. Ranjeet, the manager, made sure we were personally looked after throughout our 4-day family weekend at WelcomHeritage Ashdale. He was exceptionally helpful and managed our stay flawlessly. Mr. Mohan in the restaurant was polite and welcoming, and kept our meals running smoothly. The property itself is amazing and perfectly located, and the entire staff were warm, courteous, and welcoming.

We had an excellent family stay here. The property has an old world charm, with updated rooms, and is very well maintained. There’s plenty of open space to walk around, with lush green surroundings. Rakesh ji and mohan ji were excellent and made it feel like a home away from home.

WelcomHeritage Ashdale is a beautiful property with great hospitality. Mohan ji was especially mindful and caring, and the staff were all very hospitable. It’s a lovely place for a relaxed weekend getaway in the hills, and I’d highly recommend it if you want to enjoy the slower pace of hill life and the team’s hospitality.
