The food was very good quality and there was plenty of it. The bar and restaurant are separate, both luxurious in comfort and style, while the rooms are nicely decorated. It's a lovely, very clean and well-kept hotel just a few kilometers from the center of Namchi. The front desk was extremely responsive.
We loved our stay at this well-kept hotel. It has the basic amenities, with a nice sense of quality, and the breakfast spread was good too. Definitely recommend it. Much better than the overrated, overpriced hotels in Gangtok.
I personally visited this hotel in Namchi during my tour with yak and yeti Sikkim tour operator, and met the management and the reputed family looking after guest comfort. Run by a Sikkimese family of the Rai clan, it's an elegant, deluxe hotel offering good value, comfortable spacious rooms with views of the South Sikkim hills, local hospitality and food, as well as multi-cuisine options. It made for a very pleasant stay.
The fish was especially tasty, and the staff made us feel welcome. I was unsure about the place at first, but the room turned out really good during our two-day stay. The only problem was the lack of Wi-Fi. I had to sit by the window to get internet.
The receptionist was polite, but I was told by the woman at the counter that the man had asked us to pay 500 to use the restroom, so we paid. Nobody gives a 500 tip for that. I don't need the money back, he can keep it and be happy, but if that payment is being treated as a tip, please give the whole amount to her and tell her it was from me.
