The reception has just one person handling everything, so there’s hardly any room service to speak of. Bring your own flask and towels, since the hotel’s towels are old and not very good. The listing showed a lift, A/c, and breakfast, but none were available. It’s overrated, though okay for one night.

The rooms are large and clean, and the hotel is close to the iconic nanjundeshwara temple. There isn’t much to say for the location otherwise, and nearby food options are limited to the chat centre downstairs. I took off a star because breakfast was listed when booking but wasn’t provided, though I’m not sure whose mistake that was.

The room was very spacious, which was a plus, but the price feels high for a place that only offers rooms. There’s no restaurant, so there’s no breakfast, lunch, or dinner. At this price we usually get a stay with breakfast included. Downstairs there’s just a bar and bakery, and for a proper meal you have to go at least as far as the temple. They also said Oyo had stopped providing toiletries, so none were offered.

The room itself was fine, but the owner charged me an extra Rs.500/- and said OYO had defaulted on payments to him before. That’s very bad. We suffered because of your mismanagement.
