Bhakti Sankul by OYO Rooms

The room was bare, with just a bed and no cupboard, chair, or even a mirror. We paid for an AC room, but the AC didn’t work. Reception sent someone to check after we called several times, but the problem wasn’t fixed, so we spent the stay without AC. Staff told us outright they don’t honor online bookings, so guests who book and pay in advance on a website may be turned away on arrival. We also ordered dinner through room service. The food was tasteless and inedible, yet they charged 1500 for plain rice and dal tadka. Despite the name Bhakti sankul, the atmosphere felt completely different. We saw only local couples during our stay, and it didn’t feel suitable for families. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

The charges were high, but there was no TV or AC, the curtains hadn’t been washed in ages, the wardrobe was broken, and there was no privacy. Their behaviour was poor and they had no facilities. Even tea had to be ordered from somewhere else. A booking for Rs. 721 went over Rs. 900 after GST and other added charges. I came for business, but they wouldn’t let a colleague visit, even for ten minutes in the room. I’ve never seen a hotel like this. Couples keep coming here, apparently like Oyo, but they won’t let good people or visitors in. People book a hotel to stay comfortably and meet someone if they want to. The experience was the worst.

We arrived at midnight after booking and paying for two rooms through the Go Ibibo app, only to be told no rooms were available and that the hotel wasn’t responsible for the app’s information. We were left stranded on the road in the middle of the night. Staff took no responsibility. If they don’t honor bookings made through those apps, they should remove their availability. That’s basic sense for a hotel. A terrible experience and a terrible hotel.

I spent one night here, and the service was poor. Reception was slow to help, and I still haven’t received the bill I requested. They keep giving excuses, such as the owner not being there. Please send the bill as soon as possible.
