I stayed here with my wife for a day about 45 years ago. Coming back now, we were disappointed: these days they offer rooms only to men, and apparently only younger men.

Affordable, with nice behaviour and good condition all around. A perfect place.

Mosquitoes were a problem, the lift was poor, and the staff were no help even with basic requests. The building now looks old and dingy, with dark common areas, unlike the old hotel pictures. We stayed two days and never had hot water, either before sunrise or after sunset. That’s a real problem if you need to leave early.
