Panchavati Elite Inn

If you're booking online, do it before you arrive. When I tried to bargain using the online rates, they told me all the rooms were booked. For a few minutes after that, every platform showed sold out. Later, when I checked again, the price had dropped back to what I'd seen before.

The place is old and poorly maintained, with a dated shutter-style lift and extremely dirty curtains. I found the room unhygienic and crawling with cockroaches, and the linens clearly hadn't been changed. They filled the jug with tap water but insisted it was RO water. After I complained, they brought two Bisleri bottles and charged ₹100. Room service was terrible, and the overpriced food was barely edible. With service and cleanliness this poor, even ₹2,000 feels far too much. It's not worth the money.

I checked in on 3rd October and checked out on 4th October, then realized I'd left my earpods behind. Reception found them when I called, but when I asked them to courier the pods, they said there was no staff that day and the next day was Sunday, so they'd send them Monday. They promised to update me, but I had to follow up each time and got the same vague assurances. Deepak Waghmare and Suraj Wak then said couriering them would cost Rs700/-. They were rude and seemed to want a commission. Reception kept cutting my calls, and they even switched off their phones, insisting it would cost 700. I found an online pickup service instead, and thanks to porter, the pods reached me within 2 days for 150 Rs/-. Shame on Deepak Waghmare, Suraj Wak, and the hotel management for trying to take advantage like this. The reception staff are so cheap. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone in the near future.

Food here is hell expensive, there were lots of cockroaches in the room and all over, I never got the AC remote during my stay, and there was no hot water at night. The receptionist kept saying it would arrive shortly after someone turned it on, but there was none the whole night. Getting a room also took a lot of hassle, and the reception staff gave me a bundle of lies. The first man was cold and blunt when I arrived early in the morning after travelling for over 12 hours. I had asked for early check-in in my booking, but he said they hadn't received the request and had no rooms, with check-in starting at 2 pm. He didn't even offer me a seat while another guest checked out. Instead, he told me to freshen up in that guest's room, which was badly messed up, dirty, smelly, and hadn't been cleaned after more than 2 days of use. When I kept asking for a clean room, nobody made any effort, and they said no staff was available. After a shift change, a woman kept questioning who had confirmed my early check-in and where I'd booked, then suggested I use another guest's room because it wasn't as dirty. That just made me more frustrated. Even an hour later, I still had no room. Ms. Bhagyashree, you could've shown more care about my situation instead of blaming people, especially in hospitality. I was glad to find a room eventually, but the whole experience was not pleasant. A good-looking facade doesn't make up for the service, and at first I expected more from Hotel Panchavati Elite.
