OYO 17393 Hotel Elite Plaza

The rooms are good, though the hotel is small and the bathroom is tiny. Staff need reminding again and again about services, and they're untrained, arguing in front of guests and using abusive language. Breakfast is good, usually Indori Poha and tea every day. At under 1k a night, it's worth the money.

The general cleanliness was good, but the room hadn't been properly cleaned after the previous guest checked out. Housekeeping was a problem, and in the morning there was no water for me to shower.

The staff were courteous and helpful, and the toilets were clean. The rooms were good quality too, especially for the reasonable price I got. They even brought complimentary breakfast to the room, though the idli and vada were questionably small 😅. A good option at reasonable rates.

I stayed because I'd already paid the full amount and it was very late. I'd been in a hurry after late meetings and couldn't find OYO options nearby, but I wish I'd avoided this place. I sent a complaint to the official OYO website, and I'm sharing the details so other people don't waste money here as I did. There was no parking, the room looked worse than the photos, and the dustbins weren't clean. The washroom was good, but the place felt like a local lodge without safety. Staff behaved badly, including speaking rudely and disrespectfully to my friend, a woman guest, and telling her, “mask hatao chehara dikhao.” They seemed unfamiliar with couples. The guy who brought a towel and shampoo asked us for a service charge. If I'd had a good stay, I would've tipped at checkout, but this was one of my worst stays. Business travelers looking for a standard stay should avoid it. It's not worth even one star.
