The pool was closed and nobody told us, which was disappointing. Still, we had a pleasant stay overall. The rooms were fine, though they could use a little work, and breakfast was very good. The rooftop bar was nice, and the attentive staff gave very good service and made us feel special. Thanks.

At breakfast on the second day, one woman had a lot of attitude. She didn’t acknowledge guests or seem to care who was coming in, just walked around acting superior. The rest of the restaurant staff were much more polite, and the woman at the live dosa counter was lovely. The food was just OK. The check-in was also a mess. Around 9 pm, only one woman was available, and she seemed confused about my booking. When I asked to see both rooms I had booked, she didn’t know whether anyone was inside. I couldn’t see any difference between the club and premium rooms to explain the higher charges. The room phone wasn’t working, so I had to call the number they gave me. I asked for someone to come up, but nobody did, even after four or five calls. In the end, the receptionist hung up on me and said to dial the room-service number. That’s not an acceptable way to answer a guest in hospitality. The hotel needs to get the basics right and look after customers, or they’ll have plenty of other places to choose from. Yogi Executive really falls short on hospitality.

The restaurant food was good, and breakfast had a decent buffet selection, though staff could do a better job explaining the options to guests who are new. The hotel is set back from the main road, so there wasn’t much noise, and it was easy to get a cab or other transport. Getting around in any direction was convenient. The stay itself was unpleasant. At check-in, two male staff members were rude and unwelcoming, and kept saying no to requests before we could finish asking. Room service could have been friendlier too. Ms. Luxmi deserves a mention for helping us check out with a smile and clear communication, and Mr Abdul was very helpful with the bags. The extra bed was so uncomfortable that three of us had to share one bed. The toilets smelled bad, amenities and toiletries were limited, and there was no hair dryer. The AC in one room wasn’t working and needed several repairs, so I slept very poorly. The terrace pool wasn’t functioning, which disappointed our kids. Parking is outdoors, though valet service is available.

The food was good, and breakfast was nice. But the dinner area didn’t have a hand-washing facility, which seemed very strange to me. There were very few non-veg choices in the package that included the American meal option with the room. They should also tell guests about all the facilities they can use. I only discovered the gym on my own.
