Hotel Rahi

I went in the middle of the week during the off season, so they may not have had many guests. I paid 400 for two days, from Thursday noon to Saturday noon, at a rate of 100 per 12 hours. We left one hour early, and I don't know yet whether they'll refund that time. I'll see when I get down from Matheran. I only used the parking, not the rooms. The lot is quite large, with space for at least 25 cars and around 15 bikes. The people there were helpful and understanding. They may give the remaining space to guests, and might prefer hotel guests for parking when it's busier.

Hotel Rahi seems especially known for its safe parking, and there's also a clean washroom for people using the lot. They offer car washing too. It's in a very crowded spot near Neral railway station and the taxi stand. On a long weekend or holiday trip to Matheran, parking here or at another nearby place is a good idea. I used this lot after regular travelers rightly suggested it, since parking at Dasturi, Matheran's entry point, is very limited and hard to find on weekends and holidays.

The sales team was very arrogant, especially Mr Prasad shinde. Agents considering a business tie-up should avoid dealing with such unprofessional people. They don't have B2B rates and give agents the same B2C rate sheet, expecting us to add our own markup. Then they share those same rates directly with our clients. We've worked in this industry for 10 years and haven't come across people this unethical and unprofessional. I'm sharing screenshots for reference. Their front desk team told us he is the MD. Based on that and the messages below, I doubt guests will get good hospitality or service from the staff either. Please think twice before doing business with them.

It's right across from the taxi stand for Matheran. This is the official parking area for people traveling there, and it feels like a safe place to leave your car. They'll wash it too if you ask.
