Oyo 24889 Prabhat Plaza

The location made things easy, since Prabhat Plaza Hotel, Neral is close to Neral station. Our room was neat, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were very polite and helpful. We had a really good stay and the hospitality was great.

The AC itself worked fine, but reception switched it off because of repeated power fluctuations. The TV only worked for about 15 minutes, then stayed out for the rest of the day, and they didn't recharge the set-top box. Staff were supportive in some ways, and offered an early check-in when a room was available, but they didn't resolve these problems. The room wasn't well maintained, with stains on the walls, and the bathroom wasn't very clean. The sheets and blankets hadn't been changed before check-in, so we were given used ones. There's no kitchen at the property, and they bring food in from another hotel. Matheran is 7 to 10 km away, so you'd need to take a cab from the station. The hotel is in the city. I wouldn't recommend staying here, though if there are no other options, you could go for it.

The place has a great atmosphere and interior, with the feel of a typical old village house. There isn't much choice on the menu, but whatever they do serve is really good. It's a lovely restaurant to eat at.

For what they charge, the rooms aren't good enough.
