Aloka Stay Inn

The room was congested for the high price, and there were lots of mosquitoes and a very big lizard inside. No hot water for bathing, the bathroom was in bad shape, and the service was poor with no response. The place is dark and not maintained, and I didn't feel it was safe. I really don't recommend this hotel. I'd choose SMS brand imperial 200 meters away instead. SMS brand is really good, cost-efficient, and worthwhile.

I gave it a second try because of the location, even though my first stay hadn't been great. The second visit turned into a really unpleasant experience, and I don't feel the reviews here are genuine. The rooms weren't very clean and the service was terrible. The breakfast ran for only an hour and a half, with hardly anything to choose from. On the second stay, they cancelled the buffet for some reason and said they'd bring food to the room. The portion was tiny and not enough. When I asked the guy if there was more, he gestured that there wasn't and walked away. It felt rude. Coffee had been left out, and when I asked for it, they said it cost extra. After paying 4000 rupees, being told coffee with breakfast was an extra charge was a real WTH experience. I've stayed in hotels across 32 countries and never heard that before. It was annoying. Please train the guy who handles the buffet.

The bathroom was completely unhygienic, and the suite smelled strongly of mould as soon as we entered. I also had to ask for the stained bedsheet to be changed. We stayed in Room 210 for ₹3,500 per night, which wasn't worth it at all. When I asked for a coffee in the room, the receptionist told me to come downstairs and get it myself. After our stay, the glowing cleanliness reviews felt misleading and didn't match what we found. There are much cleaner hotels nearby with better service. Do not stay here.

The arrival felt special, with a complimentary glass of sparkling cider and a receptionist who greeted us by name. Check-in was friendly and took less than five minutes. They also offered useful local recommendations without us having to ask. The lobby made a striking first impression, with its high ceilings, marble floors, and welcoming aroma.
