amã Stays & Trails Villa No 1, Goa

During our three nights, Chef Jitesh served us Goan, Chinese, North Indian, and Gujarati food, and the seafood was especially well made. He was always happy to talk through the next meal’s menu, and the food exceeded our expectations. Faizul and Evan from the room staff greeted us with the warmest smiles and helped with almost everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Villa No 1 was excellent across the board, from the location and food to the service and staff. Pankaj, the villa manager, was warm and charming, and very proactive about arranging our airport transfers, food preferences, and anything else we asked for.

Chef Jitesh and the staff stayed well past their hours so we could have a barbecue night, which became one of our most memorable moments. The Goan lunch Jitesh prepared at our request was easily the best food we had there. He was as warm and welcoming as the food itself. Pankaj, the property manager, handled everything we asked for, from putting together a picnic basket on very short notice to arranging our travel to other Taj properties in Goa. The whole team worked hard to keep us comfortable, reheating our coffee, bringing Haldi doodh, making khichdi, and taking care of plenty of other little things.

Villa no.1 is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood, and the property is beautifully maintained. The rooms are very spacious, and it’s one of the prettiest places I’ve stayed. We had constant rain, and the wi-fi and phone connections were patchy in parts of the property. We didn’t mind being off the grid for a few days, though. Pankaj, the property manager, and Jitesh, the chef, went out of their way for us, even with last-minute needs, and made the stay comfortable and memorable. I’d gladly return next time I’m in Goa.

Chef Afrid was top notch, and the meals were made to order. The staff delivered Taj-class service, and we slept incredibly well in the comfortable beds. The rooms were well equipped, and the villa is just 10 minutes from the beach. A fantastic way to enjoy North Goa while staying somewhere luxurious. I highly recommend it.
