Carnival de Goa

Sourav and Sanam at reception made the stay especially welcoming. They were polite and helpful whenever we needed something, from an easy check-in to local tips. Carnival De Goa has a charming Goan feel, clean rooms, and a peaceful atmosphere that suited a relaxing vacation. I had a delightful stay and would gladly come back. If you're visiting Goa and want comfort with genuinely good service, I'd recommend it.

The taxi situation made checkout feel unsafe. I had to walk about 200 metres outside the hotel with my family because the local taxi group was intimidating the driver I'd booked. The property is on the outskirts, and this left us dealing with a very uncomfortable situation ourselves. When we asked for support, security refused to walk with us toward the taxi area, apparently unwilling or afraid to intervene. Local taxi operators had argued with and pressured us to cancel our pre-booked cab and use theirs. They were also freely coming into the reception area and moving around, seemingly watching which guests arrived and left. The reception team seemed weak and ineffective in managing them. It gave me the impression that management was either afraid of the operators or had allowed them too much freedom on the property. That isn't the professionalism or control I'd expect at a hotel. There were a couple of positives: breakfast was good, and the pool was clean and well maintained. But basic maintenance and housekeeping response were poor. It took nearly a whole day and several calls to fix a flickering light and get room freshener sprayed. The safety and management problems were so frustrating that I can't recommend the property, despite those decent facilities.

The staff made an already awful stay even worse. From reception to housekeeping, they were rude, arrogant, and seemed untrained in basic hospitality. Nobody appeared to care about guests or service. There was no courtesy, accountability, or respect, and instead of fixing problems, staff argued and blamed one another. From check-in onward, everything went downhill. For what they charged, it felt like a complete scam. This was easily the worst hotel experience I've had, a total nightmare. I strongly do NOT recommend Carnival De Goa. Save your money and stay elsewhere, because this place will ruin your trip.

The staff welcomed us kindly when we checked in at 4:30 am, even though our flight was delayed. We had paid for the room only at checkout, and they didn't bring up the amount when we arrived. In GOA, it feels like nobody would trust you or let you do that, so I appreciated the trust and the way we were received. I'll tell my friends and family to come here. Fabulous stay in room C- 102.
