Savera Holiday Home by OYO Rooms

The hotel would not honor my OYO booking, although its OYO sign was still up. I was told it had stopped working with OYO about three months earlier. It seems ownership had recently changed, and the new owners and manager didn’t seem ready to host guests, only to sell. Check-in and service arrangements weren’t in place, and there were no staff. There’s no standard of cleanliness to count on, and no reception number to call. Check every bathroom tap before booking. I paid 1k for a room and regretted it. I would have paid 2.5 k for a better option if one had been nearby, but I had no vehicle and had to check in. There’s no lift.

I’d paid in advance through Make My Trip and reached late at night, only to be told there was no room for me. They did have one available, but it was in very bad condition. A very bad experience.

The owner wasn’t there, and his friend was running the place. When we complained, he dismissed all the problems and wouldn’t give a receipt for what we’d paid. There was no cleaning service, no tap water, and no generator backup. The bathroom was dirty, and the room felt like a hospital room because the hotel had been converted from a hospital. We chose it because of the Oyo brand, but it was a horrible stay.

The sheets and pillow covers were never changed, and neither the room nor bathroom was clean. There was no service, and they even stopped the water supply. I booked through OYO and paid Rs.1500, which wasn’t worth it. Worst hotel to stay in goa, not even deserving of one star.
